The U.S. Retirement System: Is It Time for a Comprehensive Reevaluation?

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) recently released a report to Congress on the state of our nation’s retirement system. The GAO concludes a more comprehensive national reevaluation of our retirement programs is needed. The last review was done almost 40 years ago and the piecemeal approach to problem solving since then has left many challenges unaddressed.
