On April 17, 2019, Executive Director Angela Antonelli presented to a bipartisan group of state legislators in Harrisburg, PA regarding the status of current state-facilitated retirement savings initiatives around the country. The group included State Treasurer Joe Torsella, Senator Art Haywood, and Representative Michael Driscoll. Treasurer Torsella released a report in March 2019 which outlined findings from the four hearings held by the Treasury Private Sector Retirement Security Task Force and recommended the establishment of a state-facilitated automatic individual retirement account (auto-IRA) program. The CRI made a presentation to the Task Force and its work was widely cited in the report.
